Ad Hoc is honored by CMS’s continued trust in our team, and we’re thrilled to continue putting our team’s skills towards creating an intuitive and reliable experience for people signing up for healthcare.

On behalf of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, we recently launched a site for insurance issuers. We went from zero lines of code to a production MVP serving pilot users in under a month.

Find Local Help is a tool from Healthcare.gov that connects people to in-person, one-on-one help signing up for health insurance. In 2017, CMS contracted with Ad Hoc to improve the performance and user experience of the tool.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services won for their work on the Beneficiary Claims Data API and the Federally Facilitated Marketplace Cloud Migration, while the Department of Veterans Affairs won for Lighthouse, their API program.

Over the past five years, Ad Hoc has played a critical role in the recovery effort for HealthCare.gov. Our efforts embody the core values we hold today: an emphasis on practicality and a focus on the people impacted by our work.

Digital transformation or legacy modernization efforts, while motivated by concerns such as finances, new technology, or shifting priorities, can be risky endeavors from a logistical perspective, and are often dominated by the needs of operations.
